Sugar Creek to enforce food and drink policies

Sugar Creek to enforce food and drink policies

400

As of December 31, 2011, the contractual agreement between First Serve Inc. (Non-Profit) and DeKalb County government was dissolved; and therefore, their management duties at Sugar Creek Tennis Center no longer exist. As of January 1, 2012, DeKalb County has contracted SydMar Golf & Sports Management, to assume those responsibilities. All payments should be made at the front desk and all checks should be payable to Sugar Creek Golf & Tennis to ensure proper credit is applied.
The policy for the golf and tennis center has always been no outside food/beverages allowed; however, we have been somewhat lenient regarding this policy, allowing small coolers that would carry 3 to 5 beverages. Unfortunately, the previous management company did not adhere to the policy.
The same tournament/league food policy that has been effective before 2001 for Sugar Creek Golf is now applicable to tennis. As of February 1, 2012, there will be no outside food or alcohol allowed at the facility. Purchasing food from the Food/Beverage Concession, of course, is NOT Mandatory. For those leagues/tournament play that want to bring food and beverage to the clubhouse; there will be a corkage fee (see below).
Those of you who wish to have Sugar Creek Food/Beverage cater your home tournaments please see the attached food menu. As stated in the captains meeting on January 11, 2012, we want this to be a “win-win” for all; therefore, if there is something that you would like to see added to the menu or changed please speak with Marian Buck Stallworth at (404) 243-7149. To properly order please make sure your request are in by Wednesday at Noon during the week of play.
As of now the coaching staff will remain the same. If you have a coach that you’ve been working with please continue. However, all payments NO EXCEPTIONS must be made thru the register at the pro shop to ensure proper credit. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES is any individual other than the person at the register in the pro shop to receive your payments. If you do not receive a receipt please contact Marian Buck Stallworth. We will also be working with the USTA to obtain additional coaches.
Corkage Fee:
$2.00 per person for food $2.00 per person for drinks
Again, our goal is to enhance and revitalize our club and we need all of us to complete this task. For additional questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact us at 404-243-7149. We look forward to a great tennis season and again, thank you for your support!
Sincerely,

Marie Dunovant,
Chair of the Board/President
