No. 104 Malek Jaziri, was supposedly awarded a wild card into the Dubai Championships.  Subsequently,  Jaziri lost in qualifying to Andrey Golubev, who ended up winning against Marko Djokovic #869 in the first round.

Another wild card also went to Sergei Bubka, Jr. #190 (boyfriend of world number #1 Victoria Azarenka) who also lost in the first round to Lukas Lacko 6-2,2-6,7-6 .

Marko Djokovic and Sergei Bubka, Jr. will not receive any ATP ranking points for losing in the first round as wild cards, but the prize money for losing in the first round in Dubai is $11,825.

Maybe next year we will see the youngest of the Djokovic’s (16 year old, Djordje)  receive an unwarranted ATP wildcard?
