Tennis stars threaten Grand Slam boycott over prize money

The world’s best tennis players will fight it out for an all-time high of $25.5million (£20.4m) in prize-money at the US Open but are still on collision course with the Grand Slams over prize-money allocation.

At their pre-tournament meeting on Friday night, the players agreed to continue their campaign to receive a higher share of tournament revenues, and their main weapon would be a boycott of next January’s Australian Open.
